You may be right; however, similar work and thinking is occuring with Young Song and the G11N group.
In the particular case of the Styles and Formatting issue, it was more a problem because the way this change hasn't been commuicated to the community and approved/discussed by the community than a strong refusal to the name change.
There are definitely some strong arguments against the name change, but the most critical part of all this story was the inherent failure to communicate from some people at Sun.
