It wasn't "DURING" the apache migration, actually it was Xiaomi that
convinced Greg to donate NuttX to Apache.

Before that we had a frustrating experience with Samsung trying to move
NuttX to the Linux Foundation.

I don't think it was discussed in the mailing list.
