The easiest thing to do is have Log4J send the emails with a little setting in the log4j.xml file. We could do this for all ERROR and FATAL level messages.

Where to send them is another issue. I suppose if we really wanted people to get on these then having them go to the dev list would do the trick... but we may get a lot of email from this... even hundreds a day.
