Hi Charles, well this way or the other, I just do not wanted to ask, if there is just a "put it ont he CDROM" possible, so i do not want to suggest a firefox-like "extension" or a add on or a link to that... No, I really see the Messenger "Cspace Oh Oh Seven" as a component of the Suite. Like Draw or calc or word we have "Cspace Mess oo7". This it is a cool name and offers as well "Oh Oh" in it... The customers will like it. As it is decentral, without advertisements and full working p2p based on the kademlia dth search for friends. So who can create such a subproject for a 7th component of the suite ? See the mail before, first step would be the hompage updated in 10 munutes as mailed. then we need a CVS subproject to develop the code and someone adding for the first release the additional OO-Logo.
If then a release candidate is done, developers will join for a MAC / solaris proting and the language translation is as well done quick, if all text strings are in one file (its python and has still only english support) - but this is done with the next release of Cspace to be really full ready for handling it in OO. The program now is workling perfect and has no bugs, hope you can test it with friends already. I would like to admin such a project for that 7th component, just lay down the structures and then i will inform developers and translaters, any maybe the first help in distributing this component can come from a pyhton knowing OO developer. Then the initial startup is made and we can go on.. so maybe as well the question, actual we have 2.0.3 relase ??? then then 2.1. Open office should be the 2. release candidate with that Messenger component. Believe me, doing Office is not grabbing the pencil case only (making draw files or word files.. ) doing office means much mor to communicate !! so the messenger allows this to discuss and send files to other, done by OO. The messenger market is btw the biggest growing market and Open office can profit a lot from that, and really, doing the initial project is just a few steps... maybe this writing helps that someone is interested to join... Does anyone want to post the RSA-Key of CSpace here ? then we can test it and everybody sees the functionality... -------- Original-Nachricht -------- Datum: Fri, 28 Jul 2006 18:59:55 +0200 Von: Charles Schulz <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> An: [email protected] Betreff: Re: [dev] Adding a buddylist / Instant Mesenger to openoffice > Hello Thomas, hello all, > > I think I'm starting to understand Thomas'point, although it was not > clear at the beginning: CSpace could be (I don't know if it's feasible, > pls advise) integrated to OOo a an add-on.
