It was no reproducable before, but it certainly was very frequent, and now it hasn't happened in a while. (where while >> two days, and previous frequency was one every few hours.) I don't know where Net::DNS and DNS.pm fit in, but I'm fairly sure that 129.97.50.62 was resolving to engmail.uwaterloo.ca, which was being looked up by a different SA rule, checking for forced recv'd from or something like that. I guess, from my perspective, I can't test it anymore. That being said, if someone wanted to give me a patch/debian package/file to apply/plunk on my spam assassin, I'd be glad to run with it on the off chance that the bug comes back to bite me again.
