The version in OpenSymphony subversion was a bit outdated ;-) The
latest source was on GitHub and still is. The version in incubation
base on GitHub source.

I think it's a misunderstanding, to solve the problem with the build
we must release a new version of Ognl, but from GitHub source. I'm
going apply Maurizio's patch to the source on GitHub and using
Sonatype hosted Nexus prepare a release. It will be version not
supported by ASF, the same as 3.0.1.

As Jason mentioned, the first version of Ognl under ASF won't be
backward compatible.
