Here is a sample page that organizes key information horizontally (as

The site is that of the South African sister site, managed by Craig
Adams.  It's a little plain, but you can get the idea.  See especially,

I'm not committed to this model; it has some advantages but they are not
compelling.  Rather, I am suggesting options.  To be sure, I do like the
model offered by Apple, <http://www.apple.com/>, as it allows us to
really focus attention on what we want while also providing room at the
bottom for useful information. But I asked a quickly formed focus group
if they found this model easily navigable and that person (okay, my
wife) said she didn't.
