Louis, after all the work we've put in you want another major site?
Can you see why I get frustrated and keep saying that nothing gets done
arond here? I've been trying to contribute to OOo for 18 months, and it's
been an experience of continuous frustration. Every tiny change, no matter
what, has to be fought tooth and nail, for endless hours, and even then,
chances are we'll just remain in the status quo and do nothing. Now, for
the first time in months, I've actually thought that finally, *something*
might change, and we might get *something* done. The mockup site has been
discussed, analized and rediscussed. It's gone through a major, very
thorough analysis, we've spent countless hours trying to cross every
roadblock, and now that we're at the final stage, when everything is
ready, you propose a major redesign. Can you see why that's frustrating?
Why all you get from this is endless discussion and a group of frustrated
and cynical developers convinced that their contributions don't matter?

Let's stop all this discussion, the mockup is fantastic, it far exceeds
anything from the current site, let's use it! How long do you want to keep
the website in its current state of unusability when you have a far
suprior site right on Matthew's folder?

We really need to move from from this never-ending cycle of discussion
followed by a complete redesign, and move towards action. We've done all
this work, and now it feels like we're being sent back to zero.

Let's do this: Update the website with the current mockup and *then*,
*after* it's been updated and we can see that progress is possible, then
we talk about another major redesign.

ok?

please?

Not right now. If you suggest a major redesign every time we're reaching a
goal, all you get is many angry ex-volunteers and the same old unusable
site that's been around for **18** months without so much as the
screenshot changed.

Let's talk about that *after* the change.
We can always change the site again later. But we need to actually *do*
things at some point. We're not getting anywhere by having all this
endless discussion.

There are navigation problems with that model. As I mentioned before,
website statistics indicate that people will expect a single horizontal
top navbar, and a left navbar.
