Sorry, I've not been deeply involved in the discussions about what word to
use (well at least I thought the discussion was merely about language than
structure)...

I'd say great. http://development.openoffice.org/ could be /the/ home for
developpers working on the sourcecode of openoffice.

just as marketing.openoffice.org is this for marketing people... etc.
