For the sake of clarity, I wanted to reiterate the main point of my recent
post. Lest it get lost amongst all the other stuff:
1) Yes, let's take a survey.
2) But let's do that *after* we have an new page, and lets get
a new page up NOW!
All of the current proposals manage to fix the biggest problems with the
home page. They are *all* improvements. So, lets put one of them up now,
ASAP. And then do a survey.
This will make the survey significantly more useful.
We have already agreed on much of what needs to be changed, because much
of it is pretty obvious. So let's fix *that* first, and then gather some
data to go forward. If we have a survey now, we will accomplish two
things:
* More delays!
* Users telling us what we already know.
Let's focus on the next step after this initial redesign. Shall we?
