This is not equivalent. The default Linux build, packaged in RPM format,
does have the option with/without JRE. Only the DEB version doesn't.
yes, Andrea is correct. Anyway, don't worry about all the details right
now. I'll have another look at this. I think I know what to do, but all
this junk coded into the home page is very messy! I'm also thinking of
how to pretty that up! The checkbox approach, while tricky is doable.
I'm still having issues with
download.openoffice.org/index.html
not doing what I want because of windows loading latency issues at any
rate. But more on this later.
I hope to do some work on this over the weekend. If not, next week.
