Daniel Dekany commented on WHIMSY-161:
--------------------------------------
[~rubys] If you think that it does more problems, then perhaps I wasn't clear.
My idea was that there's only a *single* always visible button per row, which
says "Actions". When you press that (with left button), it shows what the
actual actions (which are buttons) that are available, in a popup. (Naturally,
that's closeable with Esc and the X at the corner, or "Close" button). I'm not
sure why's it dangerous if people access all the actions there. If an action is
dangerous, then you want a confirmation dialog where you type "y" "e" "s" or
the such, not trying to hide the path to it (hence my disbelief/sarcasm
earlier).
> Allow for removing people from (P)PMC but not as committer

> At present i's only possible to remove (P)PMC members if they are also
> removed as committers.
> Likewise podling mentors.
> It ought to be possible the just drop people as (P)PMC members or mentors.
> Whilst rare, it's not unknown for people to resign from a PPMC but want to
> remain as committers.
> Also, if a committer has been added by mistake (or too early) to the (P)PMC
> it ought to be possible to undo membership without dropping committership.
