Hi,
it has been pointed out to me elsewhere that the wording "bait&switch" is
overly accusatory. I needed a catchy phrase for the subject, so I may have
gone overboard there. If so, I would like to apologize for that.
To be clear, my position is that claiming that there are "no plans" to
remove something before release N appears to imply that you can expect this
to remain available until the release N and that this was misleading
communication at the very least.
I hope this clears things up.
