Hello!

I'm fine with Wayland as *alternative* environment. I'm NOT fine with Wayland
as *only* environment, because it has too many regressions when compared to X11:

* no Autotype - affects KeePassXC that hides it under Wayland to avoid bug
reports, see https://github.com/keepassxreboot/keepassxc/issues/12792 (I use
autotype on pesky VM guests that prohibits clipboard - for example Windows
Login in VM with Spice console)

* KiCad issues caused by Wayland:
https://www.kicad.org/blog/2025/06/KiCad-and-Wayland-Support/

* Wayland makes xdotool unusable:
https://www.semicomplete.com/blog/xdotool-and-exploring-wayland-fragmentation/

* spice-gtk unable to properly release mouse grab:
https://gitlab.freedesktop.org/spice/spice-gtk/-/issues/185 - that highly
annoying bug is now 1.5 year old (!)

* Xfce/Wayland is catastrophe (rendering artifacts even on main menu, unable to
right-click on context menu, because it is displaced and clicks somewhere else
- tested on LEAP 16).

* lagging mouse move under some conditions - never experienced that under X11

* misplaced mouse clicks under some conditions (typically Sway in VM with
VirGL) - again never experienced that under X11

* misplaced application windows or pull-down menu under some conditions
(experienced on Ubuntu guest with Microchip MPLAB X IDE)

* ideology over technology approach - many important features postponed for
years for political reasons (not technical)

Once Wayland will have parity with X11 I will be happily using it. Now it looks
like Microsoft way - dropping X11 instead of fixing Wayland bugs so users will
have no choice and have use unfinished product that already harms Linux desktop
reputation.
