It is *the* discussion platform of Fedora besides MLs. Nothing opaque about it - you can transparantly state that you don't like it or forums in general. Same here, and I don't like that part of the change myself either, because it basically means we have to hunt down package names instead and things will break when (sub-) packages change. Avoiding that is the point of virtual provides. OTOH, packaging texlive is a gargantuous task, so if the brave sole packager says virtual provides are not managable any more and I can't do it either then I'd rather have him do it his way than no way ... I would still hope this to be scriptable some way, after all `dnf provides **/foo.sty` gives the package name, `rpm -q -l bar` the files.
