Ah so it actually is a flat list... I meant 4 programmes as in shows,
not channels. Now I understand. I'm afraid there're two big problems
with that approach:
1) 2 weeks, 120 channels, ~30 shows a day. That's ~7200 entries in one
flat list. A lot.
2) What if I want to know just what's on channel X?

Not 'written' but graphic. In a grid EPG cells have width respective to
the length of the show and there's an indicator (usually a vertical
line) of 'Now'. You can thus easily see how long will a show last
without reading calculating trying to read and calculate it.
