Yes, I am facing the same situation . I recently installed ISC
dhcp-2.0bpl18 along with ISC bind 8.2 and patches supplied by Irina
Goble , on a Sun Solaris 2.x machine. DNS updates have not been
consistant and stable yet.

ANother problem I faced was , it was not only sufficient to Install Bind
pathes on Primary, i was also required to update all the slaves
simultaneously with same Version of Bind and patches . Otherwise,
Primary DNS server entered a endless loop for a DHCP request from a
Win95 client . This behaviour I found out when I ran nsupdate on the
primary DNS server with debug option ( -d ) while slaves were still
not yet updated with new patches .
