We have an unmodified copy of Bind 8.1.2 running on our slave DNS.
The only code we've patched is on the machine that's both the
primary DNS and the dhcp server.  We have had no problems
with that setup.

But this is on a BSDi 3.x machine, and the slave is running
FreeBSD 3.1.  Maybe things are different with Solaris.
