Just curious, has anyone (or their clients) had any success in
recovering payment from Verisign in a situation like this? Or is
V's take on it that the client paid for the transfer service, so
they did in fact get what they paid for and no refund is
forthcoming?

IF the name is already expired, AND IF you have to renew it
before NSI will let you transfer away....THEN you must wait
until AFTER 45 days in order to make sure that your clients
don't get the year that they paid for removed.
