Hi,

I just wanted to share a great experience.

We just renewed our SSL certificate with Entrust, as part of our "test" to
see if we would drop Thawte.

Although the process is not as detailed and complete as with Thawte, and the
web interfaces don't have much design work, the D&B part was easy. And never
did they mention "employment" or similar words during verification :)

Day 1: order on reseller interface. The status page timed-out a couple of
times, but a quick call let us check status by phone.
Day 2 (AM): Somebody from D&B called, explained we could also add credit
information to our D&B file which is free and can be used as business credit
reference (and now anyone can buy the report on us ;) for only $99.. status
page works nicely, not protected though.
The check consists of verifying corporate information and admin contact.
Day 3 (AM): Another different person calls and double-check that we have
ordered a certificate and also that the tech contact listed has authority to
receive information about it via email.
Day 4 (PM): Certificate is delivered in *clear text* via email to tech
contact

The only concern is that the cert is not delivered via a web site /SSL, of
course it's pass-phrase protected but this is a noticeable difference with
Thawte, where everything happens via an SSL/password-secured site (including
status).

Also notice we are in Canada and were called first by D&B Moncton (NB,
Canada) then another office.
