Subject: VeriSign/NetSol 30 day period

NetSol/VeriSign has given me problems in the past regarding one of their 'somtimes-enforced' policies.  Namely, they will not allow a transfer of registrars within 30 days of a renewal date.  For example, if my domain expires on July 30th, I have to initiate (and complete) a transfer of registrars by the end of June, or else VeriSign will simply NOT send the ACK email to the admin contact.  When questioned on this policy, they refer to their TOS, but I have looked it over with a fine tooth comb and cannot find anything mentioning this particular policy.  Now, my question is this:

1.  Who at VeriSign can I confront about this?  Their domain techs say that they're not allowed to discuss the TOS.

You will not get a hold of anyone helpful. You will be lucky if you do not get left on hold and you will be lucky if it is someone that can speak the same language as you. Even if you do speak to anyone of may be "Helpful" nothing will ever come of it from past experiences.

2.  Is this a legit rule?  ICANN says nothing about it, yea or nay?

;o)

3.  If noone at VeriSign will speak up about it, who else can I turn to (besides God)?

Renew, move it and do a charge back. That is the ONLY option that you have. It will only cause their stocks to drop even more and I sure won't cry because of that. I will throw a block party though ;o)
