Hi; Before this gets out of hand I'd like to clear up a few things about the Tucows Compliance/Transfers department.
We *can't* help you get a transfer from NSI/Register.com or any other registrar magically pushed through. If I could do this, I'd be asking for a lot more payola from resellers ; ) *kidding* What ahs happened in the past is that at varying times NSI has come to their senses and contacted compliance to tell us that if we get a transfer initiated that NSI will then ack it through. But, this is usually because the end user or reseller has been persistent in getting under NSI's skin or showing them the 'light'. I don't know exactly what the route is or what is involved in making NSI stand up and take notice, all I can tell you is that I get a call from NSI asking me to have a domain transfer re-re-initiated and they comply with the request. Usually this means that the domain has had *a lot* of failed transfer attempts. As for us calling up NSI and asking them to by pass their 30 day rule or any other nack rule that they have concocted, I have tried to do this in the past, but they are pretty insistent that end users must jump through their (NSI's) hoops and that the only time this will be bypassed is when NSI determines it to be so. Hope this resolves your questions. Paul Karkas Compliance Officer OpenSRS Tucows Inc.
