Have a consolidate radio button that is defaulted to off but the user can default to on or off.
Then when you buy a 1 year new domain, you get charged for 1 year plus x number of months to cause the renewal date to be in line with all your other domains. This means that one would need to establish a monthly rate for domains. Having a daily rate might make things too complicated, but perhaps not.. as it's just code and numbers. on the monthly rate tangent, ... give the users a choice to pick jan 1/ feb 1 / or mar 1 etc. for the consolidation of their domains and use that month as the reference month. The user might have to eat a few weeks of reg. time if things are only divided into months. Establishing a daily rate would eliminate this problem.
