> Just a quick question. Don't you guys read the notices that Tucows sends > about upcoming maintenance windows? > As a matter of fact I do. And before posting to the list, I went back and read it again. This is (part of) what I read: >To minimize any disruption caused by this maintenance window, please >consider using our OpenSRS Queuing functionality for registrations >and renewals. For more information, please refer to the OpenSRS User >Guide, section 17 - Queuing, which can be found at >https://rrc.tucows.com/documentation. That, to me at least, implies that we would be able to connect to the OpenSRS system, and that, further, we would be able to queue registrations. Also, I read the following: >This maintenance window will affect: > >- .com, .net, .name, .cc and .tv domain transactions, including new >registrations, renewals and transfers. >... >To minimize disruption to our Resellers, Tucows has scheduled a >concurrent planned outage. This window will affect: > >-OpenSRS, OpenHRS and provisioning for Email, Managed DNS, Email >Defense and Digital Certificates. Email will continue to be >delivered. >-OpenSRS archived data. >-Managed DNS: New zone file additions/changes/deletions will not >take effect; redirections will continue to work. I didn't read anything about the entire API & RWI being down. Nor anything about not being able to register, renew or manage .ca, .biz, .info etc. Please correct me.
