I'll take this moment to admit that I owned an iBook for two years, but one day I wisend up and sold it (and bought a ThinkPad with the money). The iBook ran alternately Debian and Ubuntu. It had OS X installed but I found it too hard to use so I didn't use it much. I should also admit that the non-free mail reader called PINE was my client of choice for years and an embarrassing mark on my record (until the University of Washington liberated the PINE source and releated Alpine).
