this is a good question that has been nagging at me for the last couple of days. I am not someone who bothers to setup a signature, so take this with a grain of salt, but I think the difference involves what is being claimed and what the expected benifit of it is. someone who lists lots of certifications in their signature is someone who has taken lots of expensive tests, and they are showing that they passed them. someone who is listing LOPSA in their signature didn't spend as much money, but there is not really much reason to join unless you really care about the issues, as such there's not the same preasure to add it to the list. they are going out of their way to do something. As a result, I would care more about someone listing LOPSA than someone listing a cert. I hope this rambling mase some sense, hopefully someone who understands what I am reaching for can better articulate it.
