Dear Joseph and the list,

What is interesting about this suggestion is that, with the current generation
of Point and Shoot (easy to use) cameras, this can be accomplished with just a
push of a button.  Now you have a video recorder within a Point and Shoot
camera.

It is unfortunate that it has come to this need in dealing with certain
companies.  But I wonder if this will really help or will it still take some
time period STILL even with the video to get the offending company to finally
see issues our way and finally honor their own policy.  Time will tell with
proof with their actions versus their words.

Just some added thoughts to this added comment.

Regards,  Harvey

Sounds like it's even prudent to use a video camera to unbox new drives ... how
sad.

that I definitely wouldn't notice if they were present originally.  Even if I
had, I would have thought nothing of them.  They're THAT small, in plastic,
around the SATA connector.  Definitely not relevant to the operation of the
drive, unless they're an indicator of excessive G forces at some point.
