I'm hoping this claim that we'd have to pay to attend our own DDF at ONS gets revised. I've asked Casey/Phil/events-list to have the events staff join this conversation directly vs having everything proxied through Casey.
With my Committer Board Member hat on, I'm also quite disappointed about how this is going. We were told ONS would be the future for ODL's Summits, with cost savings and collaboration goodness added by making it part of a big umbrella. ODL contributed a huge amount of cash to LFN. We've been very clear that we want to have a DDF at ONS for quite some time. It seems like we should at least be able to get a free room for a few days at our own ~Summit.
