And FWIW the hackerspaces.org model has a few things that operate on the "paranoia" such as this one: http://hackerspaces.org/wiki/The_Sponsoring_Anti-Pattern so I wouldn't take that site as gospel. But what do I know?
It seems we followed it -- way back we declined opportunities for a benevolent sponsor-landlord known to us.
I actual think what we ended up doing did was better and that this pattern is good advice.
Only part that went wrong was that we inadvertantly picked a landlord who was unintentionally being a benevolent sponsor (due to lack of reading and responsible communication with management).
Now the party's over and we'll discover by doing what part of the curve we're on.
The 0 time point is at baseline, 1 year in is first peak, 2 years we're back to baseline and falling, at 3 years we'll hit hit bottom and are ready to rise again and return to baseline at year 4.
Not sure if we're at a 2, 3, or 4/0 moment. Mark _______________________________________________ SkullSpace Discuss Mailing List Help: http://www.skullspace.ca/wiki/index.php/Mailing_List#Discuss Archive: https://groups.google.com/group/skullspace-discuss-archive/
