Someone at some point said logitech wanted to absorb this board into their usual support forums but got scared off. Not by negativity, but sheer volume. This is a chatty crowd. That said, if they did absorb this into their usual (icky) forums, it would kill the forums off. I don't think they actually want that: at least here they can babysit us and smack us when we get unruly. If people left to some 3rd party forum they would lose that amount of control. So, in general I think it's a mixed bag of blessings and curses, but overall I think the forum does them well, even if the higher ups don't understand it at all. (Though there were a couple of corporate types here to soothe the masses when the acquisition was first announced...
