I just ran into bug 1397/10777 on my Classic. The bug note for 10077 is marked "won't fix" and states that "[w]e do not plan to implement any further enhancements to the ip3k firmware or which are targeted specifically at ip3k-based products." It still works, but don't expect much further support.
