I guessed so. I am using it with optical link to the Beresford DAC which is ageing but OK. > Is there Ethernet behind your TV? If so Id get a Pi4 and set it up as a > server and client. I can arrange Ethernet easily. > What input types are available on your amp? The Amp is a classic British Amp. It has two line level inputs on RCA phono sockets. CD and FM Tuner are connected by buss, but the Tuner is not in the stack. My amp is pure stereo not a media product with HDMI in. > I run a Pi4 coupled with a Khadas USB Tone Board in my Living Room. I will investigate. I use the Beresford DAC as a DAC-Preamp. It is powered on all the time and the headphones are always plugged into the DAC and left on the sofa ready to go. If I want the speakers I power up the amp. A setup that required me to plug in the headphones to mute the speakers would not be convenient. I use the Chromecast audio because my SB3 was stolen in a house breakin years ago, but I suspect the old SB3 even with external DAC was no better than the Chromecast Dongle. Looking around I see Raspberry Pies are hard to buy at the moment. I think I want a 4B 2Gb - when I can get one. Thanks for your input. Brian In UK: Chromecast Audio Dongle and Chromecast Video Dongle attached to TV - Beresford DAC - Quad 77 Integrated Amp - AVI Neutron 4 Speakers - Sennheiser HD25 Headphones. Boom in Bedroom. In Nicosia: Delete Quad 77 and Neutron 4 and insert Quad 405-2 and MB Quart 980s ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Labarum's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=19963 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=115723
