In my defence, I would like to point out that several update emails have
been sent out with regard to the delays shipping the Qnaps and I do
endeavour to reply to all emails and phone messages, and usually succeed.
Most are answered within 24 hours, but often a lot quicker.

I've also posted on here with regard to the firmware issues and was dealing
with some people on the weekend we first encountered the disk problem.

Cards are never debited until units ship, or we are informed that they have
shipped by one of our distribution partners. Due to issues with transactions
"timing out" after 3 months if not released, I had to release one or two
Qnap transactions before they shipped (to avoid further delays retaking
fresh payments) - although to be fair, I understood the units would ship on
28th Feb and the transactions were released on that day. Due to a last
minute problem, they were delayed a little longer and then we had the
firmware problem. Paul will back me up on this.

Annoying and frustrating yes, but there's nothing Machiavellian about it.

Incidentally, while a debit date may show 20th Dec for example, that will be
the day the payment was authorised, and not the date it was debited, which
in this case will obviously be many weeks later when the payment is
released.

I hope that this clears up any misunderstandings.

Very poor! I ordered mine from them in November and I have had to do all the
chasing regarding delivery. My status on their web site shows the Qnap was
posted on 28 February yet I have received nothing. Now I am only getting an
answering machine when I call and no reply to email.

No status reports and all the information I got about the upgrade situation
was from this site. My business partner ordered one around the same time and
he has heard nothing yet his credit card has been debited! Suggest you shop
elsewhere.
