BTW, that link didn't work for me.

I've often wondered why the DB isn't indexed for all the "predictable"
web-interface queries.
I could have a totally incorrect conception of what indexes do, of
course - just about all my DB experience is with hierarchical DBs (and
25+ years ago), with a bit of dabbling into network DBs ' round about
the same time.
I -did- have the privilege(?) of witnessing some screaming matches
between Ted Codd and Ernie Bachman, (mostly, it was Ted raising his
voice) that didn't persuade any of us that SQL was the way to go
(performance issues). Who knew?

Now I'm wondering if it makes sense to be able to somehow build "index
descriptors" and associate them with web UI elements...(?)
Might be time for me to get a more-than-passing acquaintance with
SQL...
