It is a development team working on VO, John, and I guess we'll
find out in January or April, whatever the release date will be for
Leopard. What was shown or demonstrated already is "improvements",
as well as additions, and if one knows anything about Apple, there
are things to come and fixes will be made. Considering the camp that
believed VO wouldn't progress beyond its current release, I believe
it is safe to say that Apple is committed to the product. Will it be
perfect? Nothing is, but I would be willing to bet money that it
will be beyond the competition's efforts. Of course, one can wait
around for Vista to "lead the way" if one likes, but based on all
that I've read and had demonstrated with that product, I wouldn't
hold my breath.

I'm curious what constitutes "an entire team"? And what great
improvements have we heard about coming in Leopard?
I was very pleased of the mention of Universal Access by Steve at
WWDC. And sure enjoyed the voice demo. But I missed any real
announcement of improvements in VO, and no mention of the
magnification features being improved and the bugs squashed.
I am not saying there are no real improvements coming, just that I
missed hearing of them.

Apple was accused of making VoiceOver to prevent lawsuits and all
that jazz, and I heard it said that VO would never evolve or
progress. Thus, we now hear about the improvements coming in
Leopard and it is a fact that there is an entire team dedicated to
VO's development.
