Hi all.
Greg sent me an installer to try; it works for him without errors but
when I use it and then try to open the toolbox app I get a message
about missing or damaged files or wrong settings and am told to
reinstall the scanner driver. This could be because I had already
tried to install but I haven't found a surefire way to get rid of
everything; the install button still says "upgrade" when I try
reinstalling so probably I didn't uninstall everything.
Also, my documentation says that all the apps need to be installed
and I had a lot more installed when I tried to do the install
individually: I had omnipage apps in my /Applications folder and a
canoscan folder and photostudio folder and several others. Gret says
all I actually need is the toolbox app and the scanner driver and
that is all that is in his installer. So I'm not sure what to think
or what to do next. I think for starters I'll try installing the
scanner with Greg's installer on my daughter's computer just to see
if it works there since I haven't attempted any install there; that
isn't where I want the scanner to be but at least i'll know whether
my previous attempts to install are the problem. Btw, can somebody
please tell me whether I should hear anything or have some indication
the scanner is working when I press the pdf button?
