it's me making the enquiry as ia hve an i pod, i got it for xmas
under windows, i can jsut copy and paste music to it in the folders i want, but is this the same with the mac? if not then i am oing to be stuck unless of couse i ahve to isntall xp to put music onto my i pod

If I'm understanding your question correctly then my answer is no. The iPod does show up on your Desktop like any other ejectable device but you cannot copy large files such as music to it unless you put it in Disk mode. The problem with Disk mode is that I'm pretty sure that the items you copy when in Disk mode cannot be seen by the iPod's music player. I would check things out further before making the investment if I were you.
