David:
Almost a brilliant idea. We could text and use a number of the iPhone
features this way but not surf the web. This is an obvious limitation.
Links show up in different places on the screen, you move up and down
on the page, Etc. But, for texting, email, making calls, Etc. this
isn't a bad idea if they put a screen reader on the device.

I offered this before but was told that it wouldn't work. trekker

Mobile

The trouble is that even if VoiceOver is implemented, how do we
navigate the screen? I mean, do we run our fingertips across andhope
we hear what we're looking for? I've seen an iPhone--totally smooth,
no keyboard. You have to type like you're usinga keyboard for emails
and things, but still, yo gotta know where the keyboard *is*.

Unfortunately from the preliminary readings I've done, the new
iPhone 3G edition, will not be VoiceOver friendly. We will
probably have to wait a while longer for that to happen. But as
they say, "All good things come to those of us who wait

comes down the pipe in the next generation of iPhones after this
