I normally don't refresh a question to a group and this will be the only
time I do it for this issue, but does anyone have any idea at all how I can
get around this? This is the first time I've come across a cross browser
issue in our app. And cross browser compatibility was one of the larger
reasons we went with Flex.

Thanks,
Dale

Subject: [AFFUG Discuss] Different behavior in IE than FF

I have created a custom Datagrid so that it has a toolbar at the top and
when you tab out of the last editable column on the last row of the DataGrid
it will automatically add a new row and place focus in the first editable
column of the new row. This works really well. I have standard toolbar for
my app whenever we use this QuickEntryDataGrid. User can really enter data
very quickly.

Problem is that in FireFox it works great. But in Internet Explorer when I
tab off the last editable column in the last row it still creates the new
row as expected, but now my focus is in the broswers address bar. If the
user keeps tabbing through the browser tab sequence it eventually will come
back to my app and the focus will be in the first editable column of the new
row. It seems that my app still places the app focus correctly, but the
browser then overrides and places focus in the address bar.

So my question is does anyone know why this happens and more important what
can I do to stop this from happening?

Thanks,
Dale
