I should note that when I installed the currently stable release of Debian ( http://www.debian.org/releases/stable/ - Squeeze) with the intention of upgrading using apt-get to Debian Testing ("Wheezy") later, then I noticed that when the root partition (also containing /usr, /var, etc.) was set to use the XFS’s file system, then the installation was unbearably slow, while it ran much faster (and reasonably) when I used ext3. Do you know if this bug was fixed yet? Anyway, I will try the installer on a VM in its Hebrew translation.
