The From: string will look like this:
"Dave Crocker" <[email protected]>
That enables mailman on list-domain.tld to use DMARC p=reject and not
break alignment.

No. The code changes mailman from passing the poster's From: through
to the list subscribers. One side affect of this, currently, is that
it takes looking at the headers (which you can't do by browsing the
mailman mailinglist acrhive) in order to see the posters real email
address.
