Ahhh, OK. So no domain other than yahoo.com involved. I don't believe yahoo.com
had set a subdomain policy so small business could have ESP send using
@smallbusiness.yahoo.com with a reply to of yahoo.com, or simple send using the
ESP's own domain with the same reply to as above? I know the first skirts the
problem while the second doesn't address customers having white listed the
original address. I'm just thinking practical "quick win" solutions and in no
way trying to diminish challenges that a small business owner might face in
these circumstances.

This is what happens when one has done idle time waiting in their car for their
daughter to complete some AP tests...

Eyes and brains are such interesting creatures. They have (minor pun) a
mind of their own.

What you cite is not what I specified. I said [email protected].

That's been their email address for years. It is their online identity.
These are /very/ small business folk with tiny revenues, no technical
skills, and a stable business. There are quite a large number of them
in the world.

And they need the smallest disruption possible to the conduct of their
business life.

And in case anyone thinks that recommending switching to their own
domain name is "the" answer, that is a very, very long way from being a
small disruption for such folk.

That's why I cast the challenge of the situation in the way I original did.
