I had the same code and it turned out to be a valve that is above the gas tank. 
 $10 for the part and $300 labor to drop the gas tank and replace it.  This was 
done by the dealer.

        That is a generic code for the evap system. I wouldn't worry about it. 
The most common cause is a loose or bad gas cap. Make sure it is tight, very 
tight. Reset the computer by disconnecting the negative battery cable for 10 
minutes. The check engine light should go off. If it comes back on, try 
replacing the gas cap before spending serious money trying to find the problem. 
As for the not starting, there should be another error code.
