I called a friend of my x husbands who still talks to me when he sees me. I know he is a good mechanic that owns his own shop after working for my x husband for years (was manager of autozone). he is looking at my car later this week and will let me know what is wrong. If I or my son can fix it ourselves we will other wise I have got to come up with some money somehow and will let this mechanic fix it! I hope my problem is so simple because this guy will not charge me that much labor. I firmly believe in doing unto others as you would want them to do unto you. This guy will do so. I know he has to make money and do not expect him to do it for free but yet he will not charge me a arm and a leg. ~Pam~

I wouldn't worry about it. The most common cause is a loose or bad gas cap. Make sure it is tight, very tight. Reset the computer by disconnecting the negative battery cable for 10 minutes. The check engine light should go off. If it comes back on, try replacing the gas cap before spending serious money trying to find the problem.
