HI EVERYONE!!!! I was wondering why I had not recieved a email form the club, thought the holidays kept every one busy. I jsut found out my mail ws bouncing....for waht ever that means.
ANYHOW......major problems last month put a hurt locker on me with the car. BUT day after christmas I hit a deer, did not hurt the front end to bad BUT the weird thing is when I went to leave the gear shift was hard to get in gear. And after about 10 miles I had stopped and when I went to go it drove a little and would not shift, stayed in 2. AND WE ARE POSITIVE THIS ALL IS A FLUKE, it happen when i hit the deer but not related Took it to a shop that does body work and mechanical that my insuance suggested. My car sat for 2 weeks while they messed with the insuance and hunted parts. Said they were hard to find for my car...I think they were swamped. Body is fixed. Supposably could not find my carbon fiber light covers and now I have the all dark- like main pic on here. They said I had 2 problems with the tranny. A sylinoid went bad for the shifter...is on the right side of the steering column. Then he found a clamp on a transmission hose loose and fluid had been coming out for a long time, and I was 2 qts low. He tightened and replace fluid, drove around a bit and called me to come to get her. I was so happy. THEN on my way home which is about 15 miles first comes the engien light and before I can cuss shetarts to bog down a bit. I took the car back to the shop sat and it drove fine. He told me a transmission has to warm up before it has those problems. I am wakign up this morning and for some reason a light bulb went off.....CORRECT FLUID. What if this guy did not use the correct fluid? he think there is yet soemthign else wrong.
