Yeah, historically I've used silicone caulking inside and scotch tape around all seams for stuff I send out to Burning Man. It works reasonably well, as long as the case never needs to be opened.
My gasket hope is to have a lib that easily serviceable. Looks like clean & easy laser cutting isn't a way to get there. :(
