Hi Paul, Saginaw makes NEMA 12 / IP-66 enclosures and they use an extruded seal that seems to work very well and allows the door/lid to open and re-close for many cycles without tear-out or wear. I don't know what material they use for this, but I have some of these enclosures if you want to take a quick look at them sometime. Perhaps a phone call would get you the info on this material. I can swing by with a small one on my way past if you want to take a look at what they are doing to seal their enclosures. Let me know and I'll toss one in the car, Doug
