Yes it always has in the past. When it didn't do that, I assumed that the
command name was
wrong.
I've installed it now and this is what I get:
terry@BEIGE:~$ sudo apt-show-versions -a -R -p ^skype
skype 4.1.0.20.0-0ubuntu0.12.04.2 install ok installed
skype 4.1.0.20.0-0ubuntu0.12.04.2 raring archive.canonical.com
skype/raring uptodate 4.1.0.20.0-0ubuntu0.12.04.2
skype-bin 4.1.0.20.0-0ubuntu0.12.04.2 install ok installed
skype-bin 4.1.0.20.0-0ubuntu0.12.04.2 raring archive.canonical.com
skype-bin 4.1.0.20.0-0ubuntu0.12.04.2 installed: No available version in archive
It seems to be telling me that the only version available is the one installed.
