Does the camera have an activity LED? Does that light at all for Skype? What about the `test webcam' bit of Skype I see mentioned? > All video capture seems to be done by uvcvideo. Yes, that's the module for that camera, and lots of others. http://www.ideasonboard.org/uvc/faq/ mentions turning on trace for it, though the `sudo echo' commands given won't work.
