Yes, the Palstar looks very much like the MS-8. EXCEPT, the Palstar
cutouts are vertical while the MS-8's are horizontal.
Clever those Ohioans.
I don't think Drake has any cabinet manufacturing capabilities though.
Probably still being done by Hartzell.

I spoke with the owner of Palstar last year asking him the same
question. Unfortunately I don't have the e-mails as my hard drive
crashed earlier this year and of course no backups. Anyway, the
speaker that is inside the Palstar cabinet is their product but the
cabinet and I think the silk-screening of the cabinet (or is it the
other way around?) is actually made by Drake. And he indicated that
Drake does some other work for Palstar as well. So in a tiny way,
Drake is still in the ham radio business....!!?!
